  http://www.dailybreeze.com reports that Shedrick Taylor, 51, of Marina del Rey was found dead in his office at Hawthorne's Awesome Dry Carpet Cleaning.
  
  Detectives are currently investigating potential connections to Narcotics and whether he was robbed or his office burglarized at the time of the slaying.

• Carpet Cleaning Imposters Scamming Senior Citizens in Vancouver
  

  http://www.timescolonist.com reports that a group of men posing as carpet cleaners have been relieving the citizens of several Vancouver Island communities of their valuables.

  91 year old Vancouver resident Mary Dunlop told the timescolonist, that after accepting a door-to-door offer from a representative of Vancouver's "Country Carpet Cleaners", she noticed that nearly $300 in collectible coins had been stolen.

  Vancouver police have received several similar reports regarding the same cleaners, and one carpet cleaning company is currently under investigation.
